Late on July 11, Typhoon Bavi made landfall in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province, bringing powerful winds, torrential rain and flooding across the region. Nearly two million people were evacuated before the storm, while roads were submerged, trees toppled and transport services were disrupted in parts of Zhejiang, Shanghai and Fujian. Bavi is the second typhoon to strike China in just 10 days. It comes as the country is still recovering from Typhoon Maysak, which triggered devastating floods acr
